The month of September is National Preparedness Month (NPM). If you follow these “Tips of the Day” from the American Red Cross and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to help you and your family get started today! The Tips will be posted on the on this website on the Welcome page. If you followed the tips each day and acted on them, you are well on your way to be better prepared for an emergency or disaster god forbid one should happen.
Each day there is a different tip covering a different subject. They cover making a plan, shelters and sheltering in place, making a disaster kit for you, your family and your pets, businesses, earthquakes, and the list goes on.
Start planning today. Disasters don’t wait tomorrow is too late. The disaster supply kits should be stored in a place ready to go on a moment’s notice. When the knock on the door comes you may only have minutes to get out.
